If you like the smell of Indian cuisine, you will be transported! Coral lentils, an essential ingredient in this cuisine, are perfect with coconut milk to soften the taste. Dose different spices according to your taste and enjoy.
Indian Red Lentil Soup Recipe
Type: appetizer or main course
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 35 minutes
for 4 people
- 1 large onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 2 teaspoons Madras curry
- 1 can of 400g peeled tomatoes
- 250 g of coral lentils
- 2 carrots
- 1 laughed
- Fresh coriander
- Olive oil
- 10 cl of coconut milk
Brown chopped onion and crushed garlic in hot olive oil in a pot. Add turmeric and curry and stir. Then add peeled tomatoes, chopped carrot and turnip, coral lentils and add 30 cl of boiling water, salt.
Simmer on low heat for 25 minutes to blend the coconut milk. Cover and simmer for another 10 minutes: the lentils should be cooked, don’t be afraid to taste them!
Sprinkle with fresh cilantro before serving. Enjoy your lunch!
